Fandom Wedding: Star Wars Centerpieces

planet stand base
The whole idea for the Star Wars centerpieces is having them as table top mobiles with planets hanging over them. There are three tables to I had to think of a them per table. I came up with Hoth and Tatooine, the Death Star and Alderaan, and Endor with its force field with tiny lego x-wing fighters zooming about.

Metal is my base material. I twisted them and glued them on card boards with paper mounted on them to create the base for the landscape.

Wampa cave base
I used some more card board to make the base for the Tatooine house and the Wampa cave. I used wall putty on both of them to create a smooth look.

I had a bit of a set-back with the sawdust that I was supposed to use for the sandy landscape of Tatooine. The bride suggested that I use some bread dust(the groom's dad is a baker) so I did. It smelled like bread the whole time I was mixing it with glue. haha

Tatooine centerpiece
Colored the house a bit with latex paint for that weathered look.

Wampa cave
I hot glued on spikes on the roof and floor of the cave then slathered some wall putty on them to make them look like stalagmites and stalactites. Spray-painted the Hoth landscape with blue and silver then lastly, added a cute Wampa I formed from clay.
